The map shown above shows a more detailed area that is currently being studied for this section of the project. This is the final alignment that has been chosen for this project.
To orient you, Brownsville is to the left (West) and Uniontown is to the Right (East). Pittsburgh would be in the upward direction (North) and Morgantown, WV in the downward direction (South). The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has been given approval from the Federal Highway Administration to proceed with right of way acquisition and final design of the Northern Corridor in red above. Construction start dates have not been set. The approximate length of the project is 15 miles. |
