The map shown above shows a more detailed area that is currently being studied for this section of the project. Since this project is still in the final design phase, changes to this map is certainly possible. This map will be updated as we get those changes.
To orient you, Washington, PA would be down (south) and downtown Pittsburgh would be right (east). Interchanges are marked with large circles. The DEIS identified the Tan Alternative as the preferred alternative. In the south, it would link with US-22 at a new interchange in Robinson Township, Washington County, between the existing Bavington and PA-980 interchange. At its northern terminus in Findlay Township, Allegheny County, the Tan Alternative would provide direct access to PA-60 (the Southern Expressway) as well as Pittsburgh International Airport. Other interchanges are proposed at US-30 southeast of Clinton and at the junction of Bald Knob Road, Burgettstown Road and Ridge Road just north of the Washington County line. Mined areas and landfills are the predominant features within the corridor.
