Completion of the Mon/Fayette Expressway would provide
faster and safer travel options for thru traffic, particularly commercial
vehicles, that now use existing arteries such as PA Routes 51, 88, 837, 48 and
857; as well as U.S. Route 119 and U.S. Route 40 (National Road).
The Mon-Fayette Expressway is a planned 65-mile highway that will
run from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the North to Cheat Lake, West Virginia in the south.
The project is divided into 4 separate sections. Those sections and their
respective status is listed below. Please click on the links on the left of the
